Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo will sell art at an affordable price

Large Japanese clothing retailer Uniklo began working with a New York dealer and former director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, Jeffrey Deitch.


In the framework of cooperation in the two pop-up stores of the brand in New York will be 65 objects created by contemporary artists, at a price no higher than $ 100 - so the brand celebrates its tenth anniversary in the city.


From January 20 to February 16 at Uniqlo will buy laces for shoes, designed by the Ken Kagami, a cutting board with instructions how to cry, probably, when cutting onions, from Starley Keane or tape, created by Tadanori Ёkoo.


According to Jeffrey Deitch, a project inspired by his "art for all", which is created by Hilber and George. "The purpose of my partnership with Uniqlo - to work with the world's most prominent artists to create works of art, all of which would collect", - he says.
