“Heroes and contemporaries of the Silver Age” - The Tretyakov Gallery continues to display graphic treasures from its holdings

The Tretyakov Gallery exhibition “Heroes and Contemporaries of the Silver Age” is dedicated to one of the most brilliant and controversial periods in Russian art - the beginning of the twentieth century.

 

The exhibition, built around the leading characters of the era, included graphic works by Alexander Benois and Kazimir Malevich, Valentin Serov and Marc Chagall, Mikhail Vrubel and Wassily Kandinsky, Lev Bakst and Mikhail Larionov. The exhibition also presents works by artists from the World of Art and Blue Rose associations.

 

In addition, at the exhibition you can get acquainted with the works of masters of other directions and aspirations who contributed to the art of the “Silver Age”.
