...In recent years, two tendencies predominate in Nadezhda Lebedeva's art: decorative conventionality and pictorial emotionality, the second tendency leading. Most characteristic of the artist's aesthetics is that it is not the subject itself that is important but its place in pictorial reality. That is why pictorial emotions prevail on her canvasses. Nadezhda Lebedeva has her own stylistic language: she is guided by a logically comprehended task, revealing color potentials and its role in the context of a given pictorial reality.
The results of the artist's many years of search are expressed on her canvasses that demonstrate her high spiritual and intellectual potential.
