All-Russian People's Front of Crimea intends to appeal to the head of the republic Sergei Aksenov with a request to assist in the restoration situated in Feodosia gallery marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky. Given the high cost of work ONF representatives intend to appeal to Aksyonov, "with a request to assist in the restoration of the museum and the allocation of funds to carry out design work."

 

With reference to the head of the department of capital construction administration Feodosiya Constantine tan, who participated in the meeting, in the department of ONF noted that in the framework of the federal target program for the development of the Crimea and Sevastopol till 2020 "has been allocated funds to carry out emergency work in an art gallery Aivazovsky building in the amount of 32, 62 million rubles, of which 1.16 million rubles - for the design work. " Meanwhile, carrying out emergency works includes only the repair of the roof of the building, said a subcontractor.

 

"Front-line soldiers" believe that the gallery renovation of the building roof "should go hand in hand with the development of the project of restoration of the museum in time to carry out all necessary works for the 200th anniversary of the anniversary of the birth of Ivan Aivazovsky, which will be celebrated next year."

 

Aivazovsky was born 17 (29) July 1817 in Feodosia. Art Gallery, founded by him, Feodosiya residents believe their pride. Today it is one of the oldest art museums in the Crimea, are stored in the world's largest collection of works by the artist, as well as paintings by his students and followers. Gallery is located in the building, designed by Aivazovsky in 1848, after the artist has attached to it a large exhibition hall.
