On July 26, the exhibition "Here and Now. Atlas of Moscow Creative Studios" opens in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh". The purpose of the exhibition is to present the current section of modern art in Moscow - modern techniques and techniques in art education and how they affect the modern metropolis. The project, commissioned by the mayor of the city, this year will consist of an exposition and an extensive educational program with lectures, master classes, practical lessons from leading teachers of creative universities and art studios, contemporary artists and curators, "the CEH said." The organizers emphasize that the entrance to the exhibition and the activities of the educational program will be free for Muscovites and city guests. The project, which will last until August 25, covers all areas of modern art - from painting, sculpture and photography to theater and new technologies. The exhibition brings together at one site twelve contemporary artists who teach in various institutions.
"Each of them was given the task to create their own installation, and not the installation that many of them used to exhibit in museums or exhibition halls, but a special installation that would be understandable to the common viewer - tourists, children, adults, everything. Therefore, the category we have is “0+,” its curator, architect and artist Yury Avvakumov, told reporters on the eve of the opening of the exhibition.
Modern artists and curators became participants of the project: Vladislav Kirpichev (architecture), Anatoly Osmolovsky (sculpture), Aidan Salakhova (painting), Alexander Kornoukhov (mosaic), Victor Melamed (graphic), Andrey Silvestrov (cinema), Dmitry Krymov (theater), Mikhail Labazov (street art), Sergey Bratkov (photo), Dmitry Znamensky (new technologies), Svetlana Tegin (fashion), Elena Tupyseva (dance). In the format of creative studios, they will demonstrate the main stages of creating works of various genres and show the internal “cuisine” of modern art.
