The Tretyakov Gallery extended the opening hours of the Kuindzhi exhibition to 9 pm

The State Tretyakov Gallery extends the opening hours of a retrospective exhibition of the artist Arkhip Kuindzhi, which can be seen in the Engineering Building. Also, the exhibition will now be open and on Mondays, the press service of the gallery said on Thursday.


"We are glad to inform you that due to the great interest in the Arkhip Kuinji exhibition, the Tretyakov Gallery extends its opening hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 9:00 pm, the ticket office and entrance are open until 8:00 pm," the press service said. It adds that the exhibition is open to the public on Mondays: January 28, 2019 from 15:00 to 21:00 (tickets and entrance until 20:00), February 11 - from 10:00 to 21:00 (tickets and entrance to 20:00) At the same time on February 4 the exhibition will not work. As noted in the gallery, this way the exhibition is available for visiting almost every day until February 17, until late - until 21:00.


"The decision to extend the exhibition opening hours is also due to the fact that all online tickets were sold out long before the end of the exhibition (February 17). Therefore, we give an additional opportunity to visit the exhibition. You can prepare for the visit by buying tickets in advance on our site, or just come to the gallery after work and, having stood in a small queue, purchase them on site. So that as many as possible those who wish can watch the exhibition and make their visit as comfortable as possible, ”the gallery explained.


Earlier, the Tretyakov Gallery has already extended the opening hours of the exhibition on Sundays until 21:00. Prior to this, the exhibition worked on Sundays until 18:00. "We wanted to extend the exhibition, but, unfortunately, this is impossible due to the obligations," the press service added.


The exhibition of Arkhip Kuindzhi opened in the Engineering building of the Tretyakov Gallery on October 6, 2018 and will last until February 17.
