Modern Moscow on the canvases of Oleg Leonov at an exhibition in the Central House of Artists

December 20, 2018 in the Central House of Artists opens the exhibition "Meet", which will be presented a series of works by Honored Artist of Russia Oleg Leonov, dedicated to contemporary Moscow.

The exposition confirms that the first capital was a true muse of the artist. And the unique Tagansky district of the capital is the main plot of most of the works.

Infinite love and warmth emanates from the streets and alleys of Taganka, captured in the paintings of the author. And this despite the fact that the author shows the modern city. Oleg Leonov manages to catch and convey the amazing atmosphere and mood reigning in this old Moscow region.

Today's Moscow is an unusually vibrant, growing, rapidly changing city. A city in which something happens all the time is good, bad and, in general, it is not clear what. The city where Europe and Asia have intertwined, the archaic and ultramodern, where the chime of mobile phones merges with the roar of church bells.
Today's Moscow is a place where generations and lifestyles, styles and trends are mixed, where myths are destroyed, legends are created and, of course, new sights are created. Indisputable and the fact that the city every year is becoming more beautiful.

And all this the artist tried to fart in his works.

On the canvases of the artist, Taganka turns into a lively and always different, but at the same time, so close and dear to the heart of every Muscovite image.

The exhibition will be held from December 20, 2018 to January 13, 2019 in the framework of the "Melange" project.
