An Exhibition of rare landscapes from the Tretyakov Gallery's storehouses will be opened in the Zaryadie Park

Rare canvases from the treasuries of the Tretyakov Gallery, in particular the paintings of Alexander Borisov, Alexei Savrasov and Isaak Levitan, will be shown at the exhibition "Representing Russia", which opens in the Exhibition Hall of the media center of the Zaryadie Park.

The exhibition "Representing Russia, Landscape Painting from the Collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery" will be held "Zariadye" from September 6 to December 6. The exposition will unite 55 paintings written in the XIX-XX century, and show how landscape painting has gone from an ideal classical landscape to multi-valued artistic constructions that study the relations of man and the surrounding world.


"We wanted to show the capital, we wanted to show how artists began to explore the country in the 19th century and began to write Russia, and the most diverse: Russia in the middle zone, Russia in the south, Russia in the West, Russia that was already interested in the far north," Tregulova said.


Guests of the exhibition will see the rare canvases of Savrasov, Levitan, Konstantin Korovin and others. The section "Capital" devoted to the types of Moscow will open the exposition. In the section "Exploring the country" viewers will see landscapes from different cities. In addition, interesting discoveries await visitors in the blocks "Traditions and Tales", "Time is ahead", "In the field of eternal ice," added Tregulova.


According to the director of the Tretyakov Gallery, the real opening of the exhibition will be the paintings of a little-known general public artist Borisov, who first began to portray the Arctic. In particular, the exhibition will show the restored canvas "In the field of eternal ice (Summer)", written after the travel of the painter in the Far North.
