An exhibition of works by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein "Art-Revolution" will be held at the Landscape Museum in Plyos

More than 30 works by American representatives of pop art Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein will be brought to the Landscape Museum located in Ples, Ivanovo region, the museum's press secretary Tatyana Sekirina said.


The exhibition called "Art Revolution" will open on July 12 and will run until August 25, 2018.


The exhibition will feature silkscreen and stereography of the classics of pop art Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Works among which the Warhol series "Endangered Species", several portraits - Marilyn Monroe, Beethoven, Lenin - and comics of Liechtenstein will provide the European Cultural Foundation from Germany.


The Museum of Landscape in Plyos was opened on November 14, 1997. The exposition of Russian landscape painting is located in the old merchant mansion Groshevy-Podgornovy. The permanent exhibition of the museum presents the works of landscape painters of the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries - AK Savrasov, II Shishkin, VD Polenov and others.
