Tretyakov Gallery for the first time in 25 years after the restoration work will expose the entire cycle of a panel of Marc Chagall, he created specifically for the Moscow State Jewish Theater (GOSET) in 1920, he told reporters on Wednesday the director of the museum Zelfira Tregulova.
"Since Saturday, the first time in 25 years that have passed since the restoration of the panels for the Jewish Theatre Chagall, written for the foyer of the Jewish Theatre, we present the entire cycle of the panel and the best works of Chagall Chagall from the Tretyakov Gallery", - she said.
According Tregulova, for 25 years, these panels toured 45 cities in the world, but only once as part of the exhibition Chagall exhibited in the halls of the Tretyakov Gallery and the permanent exhibition of these panels had not allotted a permanent seat.
A series of nine panels, seven of whom survived, were written for GOSET in 1920. Theatre, worked in the building, which is now the Theatre on Malaya Bronnaya Street, was closed in 1949.
