In Vladivostok at the corner of Svetlanskaya, 8, an art object dedicated to Stirlitz was installed. This is a panel in which the image of a scout from the novels of the Soviet writer Julian Semenov is cut out. In the near future, its official opening is planned.

As reported in the administration of Vladivostok, the art object was created with the money of patrons. The sketch was developed by the Vladivostok sculptor Vsevolod Drevlo, who in 2010 expressed the idea of installing in the capital of Primorye a monument to the famous literary character. Then she was supported by the mayor of the city, however for the creation and installation of the object there were no resources, and in 2011 the author of the project died in an accident in the Republic of Belarus.

A monument was erected on the corner of Svetlanskaya, 8, opposite the Versailles Hotel. The place is in fact historical, since it is believed that it was in Vladivostok that the author of the novel "The Password Is Not Needed" by Julian Semenov came up with the famous character. It happened when the writer lived in this hotel.

Let's note, the Soviet spy Vsevolod Vladimirov - the hero of 15 novels by Julian Semenov, he is more known under the pseudonym Stirlitz and Maxim Isayev. In the first work "Diamonds for the dictatorship of the proletariat", the character entered the White Guards in 1920, and in 1922 the hero was already evacuated from Vladivostok to Japan, and then to Harbin.

On the art object the following lines are written: "In the young year, Otto von Stirlitz (real name - Vsevolod Vladimirov), the most famous scout of Soviet literature and cinema, lived and worked in Vladivostok. Here he was known as Maxim Isaev. He lived on the Poltava street, rested on Sedanka, in the evenings he liked to sit in the restaurant "Versailles" ... "

The mayor's office said that the official opening of the art object is planned for the near future, but the exact date is still unknown.
