The exhibition of sculptural portraits "Himself Diaghilev" was opened at the Petersburg Academy of Dance Boris Eifman.


In Paris 110 years ago, "Russian Seasons" by Sergei Diaghilev began with famous concerts with the participation of NA Rimsky-Korsakov, SV Rakhmaninov, AK Glazunov, FI Shalyapin. Sergey Diaghilev's element was the excellent work of the organizer, the accomplice of the grandiose plans, the great impresario of the famous "Russian Seasons", which opened the world to the unsurpassed Russian theater, ballet and opera, fine art and music.


It was this that inspired St. Petersburg sculptor, member of the Union of Artists Maria Tretyakov to create a cycle of sculptural works "Himself Diaghilev", for the sake of which she visited the places in Russia, France and Italy where Diaghilev lived and worked. "Diaghilev in Venice", "Parade Diaghilev" Maria Tretyakova devoted more than 15 years of his work. "Diaghilev at the rehearsal," "Diaghilev on the boardwalk," "In the fog," "Diaghilev in Venice," "Parade Diaghilev." As if "Diaghilev himself" allowed to touch the mystery of his fate, in various plastic forms capture the uneasy nature of the character.


This year the Academic Ballet Theater of Boris Eifman celebrates the 40th anniversary of the founding of the troupe. On the occasion of the celebration of the Jubilee Theater, a public association around the world, in which famous people took part.
