Vincent Van Gogh's painting "Laboureur dans un champ" will be auctioned at Christie's in New York with an estimated value of over $ 50 million.


The painting of the Dutch artist will be the main lot at the auction of works of impressionists and contemporary art from the collection of Nancy Lee and Perry Bass November 13. Presented by Christie's collection includes 36 works of this period, as well as post-war art, the total estimated value of which exceeds $ 120 million, the report says.


The painting "Plowed Field and Plowman" was written by Van Gogh in August-September 1889. The painting depicts the view from the window of the artist's room in St. Paul's sanatorium in the south of France, where he lived from May 1889 to May 1890.
