The State Museum of Fine Arts named after Pushkin (Pushkin Museum) opened an exhibition "Gustav Klimt. Egon Schiele. Drawings from the Albertine Museum. "
This is the first large exhibition in Russia of two main Austrian artists of the early XX century. Despite the fact that the iconic paintings by Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) and Egon Schiele (1890-1918) were not brought to Moscow, the organizers say that the exposition (about 100 drawings) will give an exhaustive picture of the Viennese modernity. These are sketches to paintings, portraits, and, of course, so beloved by both naked women's nature.
"The fact that we show the work of these two artists at the same time outside of Albertina is our premiere," said curator Christoph Metzger.
