A unique photo exhibition "VDNH: Architecture, Events, People" opens tomorrow in GUM

The unique photo exhibition "VDNKH: Architecture, Events, People" will work from 10 to 31 August on the first line of the main department store in the capital.

The exposition includes more than 100 rare photographs from the collection of the Multimedia Art Museum (MAMM), the archives of the TASS news agency, VDNH and modern photographers. Many of them have not been published anywhere and will be shown for the first time.

Most of the pictures are devoted to the bright events and holidays that took place on the territory of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements in different years, beginning with the VI World Festival of Youth and Students in 1957, and ending with the Inspiration Festival of Arts in 2016. In addition, photographers captured among the visitors famous personalities, for example, the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the USSR pilot-cosmonaut Vladimir Komarov, cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova and many others
