100 days before the anniversary of the October Revolution, Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow (MAMM) and Yandex launched a special project "100 facts about 1917".

By the anniversary of the events of 1917, the team of the "History of Russia in Photos" produced one hundred short videos, each of which is dedicated to one fact of a hundred years ago.

Among them, the arrest of Emperor Nicholas II, the collection of funds for the revolutionary movement, the bombardment of the Metropol hotel, the defense of the Kremlin by the cadets, the fraternization of soldiers at the front, looting in the Winter Palace.

"In each video, we are closely examining one photo from the Multimedia Art Museum collection, trying to peer into the faces of the main characters of those events, so we complement our common knowledge about the year that determined the history of all subsequent decades. - the authors of the project report. - In spite of the fact that 1917 is one of the most studied periods in the history of Russia, it still has a mass of unknown, unopened, what still intrigues us today, no matter how much new information appears, there remains a constant sense of its lack ".
