From July to December in the seven largest cities of Russia will be presented paintings from the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Institute of Russian Realistic Art. Exhibitions will be organized as part of a large-scale project "Windows to Russia. Masterpieces of seven generations ", which will take place from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. Until the end of the year, masterpieces will be shown in Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk and Vladivostok.

The main idea of the project is to show Russians how the country and the world have changed with the example of works created by the classics of Russian and Soviet art.

In total, 47 paintings from the permanent exposition and the reserves of the Institute of Russian Realistic Art were presented to Kaliningrad art lovers. Some exhibits are publicly shown for the first time. Among the most interesting works - a portrait of pianist Yevgeny Kisin Tatyana Livshits, a portrait of ballet dancer Nina Usova, made by Eugene Frolov. The most valuable experts call the graphics of Alexander Deineka "Restoration of Rostselmash" and the painting by Yuri Pimenov "Morning in the city."

Masterpieces of the Tretyakov Gallery in Kaliningrad could not bring because of the tight deadlines and special requirements for the conditions of carriage of paintings. For the same reason, multimedia versions of the project will be shown in Sochi, Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg. Original paintings from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery will be presented at the next exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod.

In general, more than a hundred paintings will take part in the exhibition project, among them masterpieces by Alexander Deineka, Sergei Gerasimov, Yuri Pimenov, Georgy Nyssa, Gelia Korzhev, Victor Popkov and other well-known painters of the 20th century.

Within each exhibition, an educational program with lectures and master classes will be organized for visitors.

The project will be completed in December in Vladivostok.
