On the day of the 105th anniversary of May 31, everyone will be able to visit the main building of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and the Gallery of Art of Europe and America in the 19th and 20th centuries free of charge.


On this day, the museum will not only accept congratulations, but also give gifts - specially for the celebration of the designer Maria Shakhova prepared a collection of scarves depicting fragments of the ceiling painting of the Main Museum building, the Heart of Moscow brand issued memorabilia icons based on paintings of impressionists and old masters, and " Perfume House Fashion "created the fragrance" 105 ".


In addition, an exhibition of archival photographs will be held in Gorky Park, telling about the history of the museum and its employees, among which there are many outstanding figures of science and culture.


The Museum of Fine Arts named after Emperor Alexander III at the Imperial University of Moscow opened to the public on May 31 (June 13), 1912. In 1932 it was renamed the State Museum of Fine Arts, and in 1937, in connection with the 100th anniversary of the death of Alexander Pushkin, he was given the name of the poet.
