Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov gave the Tretyakov Gallery two paintings written by himself

Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov donated to the Tretyakov Gallery two paintings he painted. 


"The Tretyakov Gallery accepts as a gift two paintings by the artist Alexei Leonov.While in our collection there were no paintings by the artist Leonov, and we with great gratitude accept this gift," - said the chief curator of museum items of the Tretyakov Gallery Tatyana Gorodkova.


One of the works - "Exit to outer space, March 25, 1965" - reflects the historical moment of spacewalk and dates back to 2006. The second picture is a space landscape and dates back to 2011.
