An exhibition of naive art "NAIVE...BUT" opened at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art

Moscow Museum of Modern Art in collaboration with the Museum of Russian folk and naive art are presented two exhibition projects "NAIVE...BUT" and "The World Creation".


The exhibition "NAIVE...BUT" exhibition includes more than 200 works from the collection MMOMA, Museum of Russian folk and naive art, as well as major public and private collections formed in the period from the end of XIX to the beginning of the XXI century.

"Naive" section of the exhibition is represented by the names of such masters as Niko Pirosmani, Pavel Leonov, Katja Medvedev, Vladimir Zaznobin Elena Volkova and many others. In addition naivistov national school in the exhibition includes works by stars of European primitive Henri Rousseau and Ivan generalic.

"Professional part" of exposition consists of a wide range of artists, ranging from avant-garde Kazimir Malevich classics, David Burliuk, Natalia Goncharova, Ilya Mashkov, through a galaxy of representatives of non-conformism and "left Moscow Union of Artists" of the 1960s - 80s, ending mladokontseptualistami and artists current direction, working in the 1990 - 2000.
