The State Museum of Fine Arts named after AS Pushkin opened an exhibition "The History of a self-portrait" of modern Japanese artist Yasumasa Morimura.


The artist creates his self-portraits by paintings of other masters, eventually he getting their own works of art.


According Morimura, it almost does not use modern technologies to create his works. The main thing - it is the props and make-up artist said.
The exhibition presents 80 works Morimura since 1985, among them "The Portrait. Van Gogh", as well as the interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Magritte, and the work of "Dali and Gala in Wonderland" can be viewed through stereoscopic glasses, making it a bulk .


The exhibition will be opened in rutili Pushkin by 9 April 2017. In addition, with some works by Japanese artist can be found in the gallery TASS.
