Jubilee exhibition of paintings by Aivazovsky will be held in the National Gallery of Armenia in May 2017

Exhibition of paintings dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the outstanding marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky, will be held in Yerevan in May 2017, said Tuesday at a press conference the director of the National Gallery of Armenia Arman Tsaturyan.


"The exhibition will be held at the National Gallery of Armenia, we are preparing for it for over a year on it will feature more than 70 works by Aivazovsky, which are stored in our gallery, including his graphic works that have not previously been exposed." - Tsaturyan said.


According to him, especially for the exhibition will be delivered to Armenia Aivazovsky 16 works from the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Peterhof and the Russian Museum.


According Tsaturian, paintings of Feodosia art gallery Aivazovsky name will not be exhibited.
