On the 90 th year of life died People's Artist of Russia Sergei Kupriyanov

Jan. 16 died People's Artist of Russia Sergei Kupriyanov. A week ago, 8 January, he was 89 years old.

In his works, Sergei Kupriyanov, continued the tradition of the famous Russian painters - Korovin, Levitan, Savrasov. Sergey A. Creativity called "suite of the Russian landscape."

Kupriyanov was born in Moscow, in the house on Pyatnitskaya. Much of his work is devoted to native Zamoskvorechye.

The artist created the illustrations for the book by Vasily Shukshin, Victor Astafieva, Vitali Bianchi, Anton Chekhov and many others.
