"Quiet city with a great name" - so called Kasli - home of cast iron. Ural masters turn harsh alloy into works of art the third century. Kasli casting is known throughout the world - a sculpture, furniture and even jewelry dazzling elegance of forms. The State Historical Museum opened the exhibition "Made in Castle". Says Anna Shcherbakova.


Exhibition Design resembles the famous Kasli cast iron pavilion, which was presented at the World Exhibition in Paris. Then, in 1900, products created on Uralsky Metallurgical Works, called the audience a surprise. They even called "Russian miracle". The exhibition in the Historical Museum - exhibits relatively new: the end XX-early XXI century. Contemporary artists continue to use the expressive possibilities of cast iron, which opened Kasli wizard in the XIX century.


Samples of cast-iron furniture, cabinet sculpture: all the exhibits correspond to the traditional range of products Kasli factory. And here, for example, jewelery produced there are not more than a hundred years. Now re-started for the production. The exhibition "Made in Castle" - the opportunity to see the finest openwork earrings and pendants.


Exhibition - small. Only about a hundred exhibits. However, this is enough to understand why 200 years ago Kaslin casting so surprised the world.
