December 3, 2016 on the last day of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum in KGallery will open Russia's first exhibition of the American photographer Allan Tannenbaum "JOHN AND YOKO: A NEW YORK LOVE STORY".

The name speaks for itself - John Lennon and Yoko Ono needs no introduction, but their photos late 1970's to the general public were not yet available.

Tannebaum enjoyed the special confidence of the star of the family, and he was lucky to shoot not only live, but also become the author of one of the last joint of photo shoots of John and Yoko. Tannebaum describes in detail the events in his diary: November 26, 1980, he was invited as a photographer to the set of the clip "Starting Over", it was in Central Park in New York, then at Yoko Ono had the idea to continue shooting in the studio. The plot has an unexpected twist - the result of this extremely intimate, delicate and sensual history resulted in a series that the Russian audience will see for the first time. These shots are imbued with a special drama because of its history: in exactly two weeks, Dec. 8, Lennon was killed in the same Central Park. Shocked by the incident, Tannebaum almost machine photographed, and the arrest of Mark Chapman, the murderer, and the people at the hospital, and the crowd at the murder scene. And yet two months later he was filming a lonely Yoko Ono, a walk in the park in his famous huge black glasses.

The exhibition "JOHN AND YOKO: A NEW YORK LOVE STORY" will be presented about 40 photographs taken in the period from 1975 to the 1980s.

Of particular importance is the arrival of the photographer in St. Petersburg. Witness era, unbiased reporter and fine artist, Allan Tannebaum talk during a creative meeting about their work, dealing with John and Yoko, and, of course, of those memorable days of autumn 1980.
