Composer Rodion Shchedrin would like, a monument to his wife Maya Plisetskaya on the Big Dmitrovka in Moscow has become a meeting place for couples.

The initiator of the monument became a ballerina Maya Plisetskaya husband, composer Rodion Shchedrin, who took an active part in the discussion of the project at all stages. The initiative supported by the Ministry of Culture, to accumulate extra-budgetary funding for the project, approved by the Commission on monumental art at the Moscow City Duma. The monument was created with financial support from the founder of the charity fund "Art, Science and Sports" Alisher Usmanov.
