The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, Minister of Culture Vladimir Medina, chief conductor and director of the Mariinsky Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Valery Gergiev, spouse Plisetskaya composer Rodion Shchedrin and dozens of admirers of the great ballerina, which is literally strewn with flowers pedestal of the monument.
