Serbian artist Marina Abramovic-performer admitted that she made three abortions. In an interview with the German edition of Tagesspiegel, she said, that he never wanted to have children, because motherhood interferes with work.

 

"The body has limited energy, and I would have to share it. This is a disaster for my work ", - he explained the artist.

 

According to her, the presence of children - the main reason that women are less likely to reach the heights in art, than men. "Talented women very much. Why do men have to capture all the important positions? It's simple. Love, family, children - women do not want all this sacrifice, "- said Abramovich.

The artist added that it is impossible for her motherhood also because many have to travel around the world. "I can not send pictures to the exhibition - I send myself", - said the performer.

 

Marina Abramovic - Serbian master of performance, award winner of the "Golden Lion" of the 47th Venice Biennale for his work "Balkan Baroque" in memory of the victims of the war in Yugoslavia. In 2010, the artist held an exhibition at the New York Museum of Modern Art, where Abramovich held a performance "In the presence of the artist." It lasted 716 hours and 30 minutes, during which time she looked more than 1.5 thousand people in the eye.
