In the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts opens an exhibition of lacquer miniature "Mstera - the pearl of Russia"

July 29 All-Russian Museum of Decorative-Applied and Folk Art presents the exhibition"Mstera - the pearl of Russia" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Mstiorskya lacquer miniature factory. The exhibition will feature more than 200 works from the collections of the Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art, assortment cabinet PC "Center Mstiorskya traditional miniatures" and private collections. Presented in the exhibition works reflect the basic stages of development Mstёrskogo crafts.

 

The village Mstera Vladimir on the ground in the past has been a unique icon-painting center, but a truly international fame he acquired in the XX century, when at the turn of the 1920s - 1930s there arose the art of lacquer miniature painting on papier-mache. Relying on its own icon-painting tradition, miniature Mstera developed a unique artistic style, which plays an important role prescribed carefully landscaped background with the finest color transitions and non-black background.

 

The date of birth Mstёrskogo lacquer fishing is considered to be in June 1931, when the former painters united in artel "Proletarian Art" (from 1960 - the factory). A significant role in the development of art Mstera played folk splint, which before the revolution was printed in the local printing Golysheva. The founder of ornamental directions Mstiorskya miniature became EV Jurin ( "Ornament with bird), based on the best examples of ancient art.

 

The aesthetics of people's life - the main thing that was a feature of Russian lacquer. The country's history, literary works of Russian and foreign writers, poetry, Russian fairy tales as concentrated wisdom of the people, the complex world of human endeavor - all this is reflected in the Russian lacquer painting.
