...But despite a variety of themes, genres and artistic devices all the works are united by profound natural intelligence of the artist's creative work. He doesn't aim at expressing everything completely. Deep confidence in his spectator, unobtrusive invitation to the conversation in the long run makes the dialogue fulfilled.
As F. Dostoyevsky put it, "Human being is a mystery". Meeting of the two means meeting of two mysteries. Psychological accuracy of all the nuances of the moment — two microcosms being interwoven — is conveyed in the series "Full Moon", "Him and Her".
One cannot but be attracted by the landscape "Poppies". Combination of eternal, cold and stern rocks and momentary, fiery, timid field flowering conveys incomprehensible immensity of life.
Modern mentality is conditioned by realization of the definite disastrousness of the world. A man in the wilderness of loneliness and true sorrow is the theme of the "Night Walk. «Panthicapeus». The theme is originally developed in the portrait "A Woman in Red Interior".
Creative imagination is a kind of bridge which connects various facts and events into the whole. As a result of concrete observation and abstract conclusions, as an expression of a definite idea one can in-terprete a dynamic and surprising canvas "Fight".
Up to now Russia has remained an enigma, a mysterious space inhabited by phenomena known nowhere in the world. A reminder of this uniqueness is a meaningful "Peasants' Dance". Painting in a different manner but filled with the same mood is the series "Solovki. Red Sunset".
Chaotic expansion of debris, fragments, wreckage of life, torn by contradictions, does not hide the whole area of life from the artist. Looking closely into the landscapes permeated with light, universal peace and true harmony — "At Midday", "Pskov. A winter Day", "A Road to Alupka" — one can feel that serene incomprehensible beauty which, let us hope, will save this world.
Every artist is gifted; but talent states only the possibility for creative work, its object is determined by the artist's attitude, his vision of life. The right to choose belongs to him and only to him, and through his art he finds his position in this world, in the world of beauty.
P. Stronsky's works were purchased by the Russian Ministry of Culture, by art galleries of Western Europe and South-Eastern Asia. A number of his canvases were bought into private collections in the USA, Germany, France, Italy, Japan and other countries.
