Victor Kalinin, artist - buy painting, print of artist Victor Kalinin

Every time, though following classical traditions, Victor Kalinin is sort of appraising the art value of the past responding as echoes in the consciousness of our contemporaries thus creating consonance's of colors unknown for the past time. Plastic solution of his art canvases is achieved by means of the "great form" indicative of the painter's capability to extract something new from the old. The old in this case is a divine sensation of silence, it is penetration into the extraneous world. The new is ornamentation of the artistic construction of the picture. The artist is skillfully placing plastic accents by the rhythm of which a balance of the composition is achieved. He thickens contemplation's on something essential but not on some events. The image is colored by the author's philosophy expressed in symbolic terms and, thereby, the form becomes full of significance prevailing over the specific theme of the line art subject.

In the creative work of Victor Kalinin, it is amazing to follow the transformations of the author's thought and its gradual conversion into a fine art form. The artist professes the formula outspoken by A. P. Chekhov and saying: "Anything is new if artistic".

Comprehension of the existence is a specific genre of his creative work, and it is rather difficult to find a proper name for it, but it is clear that it is approaching the conception of philosophic lyricism.

Victor Kalinin is a Russian painter. He is Russian by his way of thinking, in the spectrum of problems and in the world of perception. Nevertheless, the scope of the problems specific for his paintings are common for the whole mankind as they relate to comprehension of secrets of existence; therefore, he is an artist of the international range.
