"I was born in Moscow region. As an artist I was influenced by my native land’s nature.
For already 25 years my trips to old Russian towns (Vladimir, Rostov, Suzdal, Ferapontovo, Borovsk, Pereyaslavl etc.) and passionate studies of Russian classic painters - A. Ivanov, Venetsianov, Borisov-Musatov - have helped me to express my impressions and love of Russian nature that I have been nurturing since my childhood.
I prefer lyrical landscapes, pureness of the colour, the changing beauty of nature in all its aspects and nuances. I paint only things that I love."
