August 1 in the Central Manege will open the exhibition "Here and Now!" - a large-scale review of contemporary art in Moscow. The aim of the project is to reveal new artistic trends and trends that bring contemporary art to life in the city.

"Here and now!" Artists are increasingly confronting the townspeople with art where they least expect it. Shops, parks, stations, hospitals turn into galleries. The exhibition "Here and Now" - about the total freedom of artists.

The exposition of the exhibition is divided between two floors of the Manege. On the ground floor will be presented multimedia works, performances, video art, interactive objects and installations. The lower floor of the Manege will become a platform for theater performances, performances on the brink of the theater, musical improvisations, lectures and master classes.

"Modern art, no longer being objective, is nowadays becoming a communicative language, where everyone can talk, they can talk about politics, medicine, architecture ... It is very important, and that is what we want to show," says curator of the exhibition Katia Bochavar.

The project is carried out by the Department of Culture on behalf of the Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin following his meeting with young artists. It is expected that the exhibition will become traditional.
