In the Penza Art Gallery named after KA Savitsky, an exhibition of the Honored Artist of the Republic of Mordovia Yevgeny Balakshin "The Breath of Pastels" was opened. It reveals one of the facets of the master's work - work in the field of graphics in such a complex technique as pastel, in its expressive possibilities standing on the verge of painting and graphics.
The exposition includes 34 works created by the author in recent years in the genres of landscape, still life, portrait, nude nature, plot composition.
Artist Balakshin - master of genre-themed works on the village theme, still life, women's and children's portrait. His work stylistically belongs to the Russian realistic school with its fine transmission of color and light, a rich color palette.
Yevgeny Balakshin's paintings are in the permanent exposition of the Mordovian Republican Museum of Fine Arts named after SD Erzi.
Now the artist will be represented in the collection of the Penza Art Gallery. At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Yevgeny Balakshin presented the painting "Do not Bite" to the Penza Film Gallery named after K. A. Savitsky.
