They began collecting 30 years ago, and, as noted in the Pushkin Museum. Alexander Pushkin, part of the work of Falk were acquired from the last wife of the artist Angelina Vasilyevna Shchekin-Krotova.
Most of the collection obtained relates to the period of the artist's stay in France, this is 1928-1938. Among the picturesque works - "Still Life with Goldfish", "Conversation. One of them presumably depicts Tatyana Yakovleva, the last beloved of Vladimir Mayakovsky ("The Girl in a Dress with a Lace Collar"), the other was written by Falk in Samarkand during the Great Patriotic War - this is a portrait of the doctor Alexander Yarotsky. In the collection there is a self-portrait of the artist "Mulatto", created in 1934-1935. The collection of 16 graphic works covers the 1920-1950s, including graphic portraits of the artist's friends: philosopher Lev Shestov, poetess Rakhil Baumvol, art critic Alexander Gabrichevsky, artist and comrade for the unification of Adolf Milman, except for still lifes and sketches from nude nature. While it is not known when and how the museum will show these works to the public, and the presentation of the gift will be held in the Personal Collections Section of the museum on April 19.
