18 April 2018, Wednesday

In translation from the French "gala" - a celebration, a celebration. It is such a gala-presentation will be an exhibition, which will show the best work of Anatoly Zverev from the collection of the museum.

The exhibition, which will be developed on three floors, will include over 250 works of different genres - portraits, landscapes, abstractions, suprematics and illustrations. The main accent of the exhibition "Zverev-GALA" - on the diversity of Zverev's heritage.

For the first time in the exhibition space will be presented unique materials - a series of illustrations for the story of Gogol "Notes of a Madman", which the artist created in 1955. Especially for this section of the exhibition, the famous Russian animation director Mikhail Aldashin created an animated film.

"Zverev was very close to Gogol, I think that along with Lermontov. They are both mystics, mysticism of both is incomprehensible and it is unlikely to be understood by us, and Zvereva most attracted mysticism in Gogol, "said collector Dmitry Apazidis.

Over 250 works are presented on three floors of the museum. The exhibition "Zverev-GALA" is a kind of potpourri from the works of the artist, performed in a variety of genres.

By the opening of the exhibition within the framework of the Publishing Project of the Museum of AZ there will be new publications - the catalog of the exhibition and a photo album with archival photographs of Anatoly Zverev, most of which is published for the first time.
