The exhibition of the famous British street artist Banksy will open in Moscow at the Central House of Artists (CHA) in early June, the aggravation of relations between Russia and Britain will not affect the implementation of the project, told RIA Novosti director of the Central House of Artists Vasily Bychkov.

"Banksy's exhibition will open in the Central House of Artists in early June, the contract is signed here, it's a big exhibition - three thousand meters - sketches, prints, pieces of walls, original art objects, 60 exhibits," Bychkov said.

According to Bychkov, the exposition will open, despite the worsening of relations between Russia and Britain. "The agreement is signed with producers who make large exhibitions around the world. This is purely a commercial story, money is being paid and the right to display is being acquired," the director of the Central House of Artists added.

Banksy is considered one of the brightest representatives of world street art, he is known for not announcing the appearance of his work, very few people know him in person, and his personality is not established. In the media, there are regular assumptions about who is hiding behind this pseudonym. So, the study of British scientists confirmed the version put forward in 2008, according to which the alias of the public school in Bristol, Robin Gunningham, is hidden behind the pseudonym Banksy.

There is another version. In June last year, the British DJ Goldie in an interview with Distraction Pieces talked about the identity of the artist, calling him Robert. In the fall of 2016, journalist Craig Williams suggested that the artist may be a member of the cult trip-hop group Massive Attack Robert Del Nye. Williams conducted his own investigation and came to the conclusion that characteristic graffiti appear in the places where the band gives their concerts. In addition, according to the journalist, the amount of work suggests that a pseudonym can hide not one person, but a group.

As the Daily Star writes, Banksy's question to Boundless magazine, whether he can confirm the statement of the DJ, answered negatively.
