The State Academic Museum. Pushkin plans to ask Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Mona Lisa" ("Gioconda") for the exhibition. This was announced on Tuesday by the director of the Pushkin Museum, Marina Loshak.


Previously, the Minister of Culture of France Françoise Nissen reported that the "Gioconda" may leave the Louvre for display in other museums around the world.


"There was already a story in the life of the museum, when this step was taken, we will call, of course, I think it's amazing," the agency interlocutor said.


After the Second World War, "Mona Lisa" was almost always kept in the walls of the Louvre. Only in 1963 it was exported to the United States, and in 1974 - to Japan and the USSR (Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts). Since 2005, in the Louvre for her was a separate room.
