9 February 2018, Friday

The Tretyakov Gallery, the Institute of Russian Realistic Art (IRRI) and the Museum of the Russian Artist Anatoly Timofeevich Zverev (AZ) decided to support the worldwide event # HeartsForArt, during which from 10 to 15 February, visitors will talk about their love for paintings with paper hearts.

The project Hearts for Art (Hearts for Art) was launched five years ago at the Oakland Museum of California and the Columbus Museum of Art. Since then hundreds of museums around the world have joined them.

"We decided to support this wonderful action, because in our country so many people who are in love with art need to be given the opportunity to tell about this love. For the participants, we prepared "valentines" for a kind of inserts for chewing gum "Love is ...". I'm sure everyone will be interested to read them or come up with their own. We are glad that our friends from the Tretyakov Gallery (the action is distributed to the main exposition of the New Tretyakov Gallery) and the AZ Museum have already picked up the idea right now, "says art director of IRRI Nadezhda Stepanova.

To participate in the action, visitors need to take a paper heart from the administrator, place it opposite the work that they liked best, take a picture and put it into social network, using the #HeartsForArt hashtag and the hashtag of the museum.

In the Tretyakov Gallery the action will be distributed to the exposition of the New Tretyakov Gallery. In the Museum of AZ you can take a picture with the heart at the exhibition "Attack of Don Quixote. Dali. Zverev ».

At the Institute of Russian Realistic Art flashmob will touch the main exhibition and exhibition "At the edge of color. Vladimir School of Painting. In addition, there will be a special program in the Day of All Lovers: guests are offered to book a romantic excursion for two, rent a museum for the night or try a special holiday set from the chef.

To the 146th anniversary of the Historical Museum in Moscow, the entrance to its entire building became free on February 9, and on February 10 it will be possible to visit the main building of the museum and the exhibition "Treasures of the Prague Castle" free of charge.
