Art Fair Russian Art & Antique Fair will be held in the Moscow Central Manege from 13 to 18 February

From 13 to 18 February in the Moscow Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" will be the most important event in the cultural life of Russia - the fair of classical and contemporary art Russian Art & Antique Fair.


In Moscow, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Department of Culture of Moscow and the International Confederation of Antiques and Art Dealers, CINOA (The International Confederation of Art and Antique Dealers Associations) will host the Russian Art & Antique Fair with the participation of leading antique galleries and private collections from Moscow, St. Petersburg Petersburg, other cities of Russia, as well as Great Britain, Germany, Italy, the USA, France, Switzerland, Sweden and several other countries. On the stands of the participants there are rare works of art, masterpieces of Russian and West European paintings and sculptures, objects of decorative and applied art, antique furniture and jewelry art.

 

Participation in the project will also include galleries representing contemporary art and design. Russian Art & Antique Fair is a project combining old and modern art on one site. Russian and foreign galleries and private collections will present works of exceptionally high level - as the works of outstanding masters of past centuries, whose names are forever inscribed in the history of world culture, as well as works of the best representatives of contemporary art, reflecting the spirit of our time and the main trends in the development of artistic creativity.

 

Russian Art & Antique Fair aims at preserving and popularizing the world and national cultural heritage, promoting Russian art, contributing to the formation of public and private collections. RA & AF is planning to hold a donation of works of art from the collection of the International Conference of Antiquarians and Art Dealers to state museums in Moscow.

 

Within the framework of the exhibition, a business and educational program will be held, including a legal forum dedicated to the legislative aspects of movable cultural property (under the auspices of the Union of Russian Collectors), as well as a number of seminars and round tables for professionals and a wide audience. For visitors of the exhibition there will be organized excursions with the participation of art critics. Particular attention will be paid to the history of Russian art.
