Russian leader Vladimir Putin handed on to his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday, stolen in 1995, and then found and restored watercolor Vrubel "Angel with the soul of Tamara and Demon."

Watercolor "Angel with the soul of Tamara and Demon" is included in a series of illustrations to the poem by Mikhail Lermontov "The Demon". This work was part of the collection of Professor Abrahamyan, on its basis the Museum of Russian Art in Yerevan was founded, which was called the "Little Tretyakov".

In 1995, the painting was stolen from the museum, and for over 20 years nothing was known about it. During this time, the drawing was significantly destroyed. Law enforcement agencies found the work of the artist and transferred her to the Tretyakov Gallery for restoration, where specialists collected the drawing literally in bitterness.

The leaders of Armenia and Russia after official negotiations visited the Tretyakov Gallery, where the works of the artist Martiros Saryan are exhibited.
