The project "Open Studios", aimed at supporting beginning artists, started at the Contemporary Art Center "Winzavod".


The artists who received the workshops were selected by the expert council consisting of Trotsenko, gallery owners Elena Selina, Dmitry Khankin, Alexander Sharov, artist Aidan Salakhova, head of the exhibition department of MMOMA Alexei Novoselov and curator Andrey Parshikov.


A total of 82 applications were submitted for the contest, eight artists were selected to participate in the program. The project selected Vladimir Kartashov, Anton Kushaev and Denis Uranov, participant of the exhibition "Youth of Russia" in the Central House of Artists Hasmik Melkonyan, artist from the pool of the gallery "11.12" Kristina Strunkova, specializing in installations from porcelain Daria Neretina, artist and architect Leon Gasparyan and trained in the Russian Academy of Arts Alexei Zhuchkov.


The artists will work in the studio until June 2018, and at the end of the season they will have a group exhibition.

In addition to workshops for Russian artists (one month for them is 12 thousand rubles.), "Open Studios" is already ready residence for the residence of a foreign artist. The candidate, who will be selected by the expert council, will start working at Vinzavod in a month.
