Seaside branch of the State Tretyakov Gallery opened an exhibition of one painting by Levitan "March"

The seaside branch of the State Tretyakov Gallery opened in Vladivostok. The first exposition is an exhibition of one painting. From Moscow to the Primorye airplane delivered one of the pearls of the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery - Levitan's canvas "March".

The landscape was written in the estate of Gorka - from nature, without preliminary sketches and marked the beginning of a new period in the artist's work. In this work, the influence of the French impressionists is noticeable. Virtuosly working with the chiaroscuro, Levitan managed to convey the joyful mood of a gradually awakening nature.
