The Tretyakov Gallery expanded pedestrian space in Lavrushinsky Lane. The museum opened a courtyard, which for several decades remained closed. He connected Lavrushinsky and Maly Tolmachevsky alleys into one walking route.


"Walking along a new pedestrian route, Muscovites can see the rear facade of the church of St. Nicholas in Tolmachi XVII century. Previously, this side could see only the staff of the museum, as the courtyard was closed, "- told the press service of the State Tretyakov Gallery.


It is possible to enter the courtyard through an archway in the engineering building from the side of Lavrushinsky lane. Until recently, the gates were closed there. Exit to Maly Tolmachevsky perezhok townspeople can through the passage between the church of St. Nicholas and the building of the Tretyakov Gallery.


In the future, the inner territory of the Tretyakov Gallery is planned to be landscaped, there to establish shops and urns. Also, the yard will become a venue for concerts and installations.
