State Historical Museum (GIM) in honor of Youth Day on June 27 will give a discount to visitors under 35 years old. This was reported to journalists by the director of the State Museum, Alexei Levykin.


"On June 27, on the Day of Youth of Russia, we made a decision to all young people who come to the Historical Museum to make a discount of 50% of the ticket price." We hope that this will attract a large number of visitors, "said Levykin.


He specified that the privilege will be valid at all sites of the Historical Museum upon presentation of a document confirming the age.


The State History Museum, which marks the 145th anniversary in 2017, is one of the largest museums in the world and the largest museum in Russia. Its complex includes St. Basil's Cathedral with the monument to Minin and Pozharsky, the Chamber of Boyars of Romanov on Varvarka, the Museum of the Patriotic War of 1812, the exhibition Complex in the Revolution Square, a complex of restoration workshops in Izmailovo.


The funds of the Historical Museum store more than 5 million exhibits and about 15 million sheets of documentary materials, annually it is visited by more than 1.2 million people. Currently, the museum employs more than 800 employees.
