The exhibition of landscapes by Viktor Vasnetsov was opened in his house-museum, the exhibition includes 29 works and archive photographs, many of them are exhibited for the first time.

"Within the framework of the project" The Tretyakov Gallery opens its storerooms, "the exhibition of landscapes by Viktor Vasnetsov began, showing 29 paintings and archive photos from the artist's memorial fund."

The exhibition includes sketches written around Paris, Moscow and Vyatka from 1874 to 1917. From the early works are exhibited paintings "Vyatka places" and "Coniferous forest."

The least known to a wide audience is the part of the exhibition - landscapes of New Ryabov. So, in memory of his homeland, the artist named the estate of Vankovo, acquired in 1901 in Dmitrovsky district. A series of sketches by Novy Ryabov has survived, in which the artist depicted small, at first glance simple and modest, but deeply poetic subjects. They are made on pieces of primed canvas, not stretched on a stretcher, or on small plywood planks.

A special illustrated edition was prepared for the exhibition. The album presents landscape works that cover a half century of the artist's work. Many of them were published for the first time.
