The Garage Museum of Contemporary Art will open an open-air cinema on May 5 at the Arts Square in Gorky Park. First there will be a documentary by Kevin McDonald, "The Stairway to Heaven, Art of Tsai Guoqiang", telling about the life and work of the star of modern Chinese art.

In the first half of May, there will also be screenings of documentary, experimental and feature films of recent years. In the cinema "Garage", in particular, will show a film - a journey through the abandoned architectural structures of Nikolaus Geirhalter, as well as the film "Music Lesson" Marie Ange Gorbanevsky, which introduces the audience to the Russian music school.

In the second fair of books about the art of Garage Art Book Fair, which will be held in the museum on May 20 and 21, a special program of film screenings will be presented. It will be dedicated to the authors and heroes of the books of its own publishing program and a joint program with the publishing house Ad Marginem Press. For example, the presentation of the Russian translation of the book "Bowie" by the British philosopher Simon Crichley will be accompanied by a retrospective of the films with the participation of the last year's musician and actor David Bowie, and actress Tilda Swinton will tell about her friend, critic and artist John Börger in the format of recording conversations in "The Seasons in Kensi: Four Pictures of John Bearger."
