Festival of ice sculptures «ICE fantasy» opened in the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg

At Naryshkin bastion of Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg opened  festival of ice sculptures «ICE fantasy», the correspondent of IA REGNUM.


Figures made of ice placed in a huge tent area of ​​1000 square meters, in which by means of refrigeration units maintained a negative temperature.


The eyes of the visitors represented around 60 sculptures, the creation of which took 170 tons of ice. They created a professional team of Russian sculptors.


Among the ice sculptures - Santa Claus, Russian and foreign heroes, cartoons, movies. Highest sculpture - a pirate ship in the seven meters.


Of particular interest to adult visitors is the composition depicting the Battle on the Ice on Lake Peipus.


There at the festival and the cock figure - a symbol of the coming 2017.


All the ice compositions are illuminated to create additional visual effects.


Festival of ice sculptures will work on 29 January 2017 from 10:00 to 22:00.
