Russian Antique Salon - 2016 opened in the Central House of Artists

Russian Antique Salon, which was attended by about 250 galleries from cities of Russia opened at the Central House of Artists (CHA) on Saturday.

 

At the Salon presents paintings, sculptures and other antiquities. In particular, you can see and buy paintings of the great Russian artist Ivan Aivazovsky, Vladimir Borovikovsky, Leon Bakst, Victor Vasnetsov.

 

In the Salon primnimayut galleries from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Veliky Ustyug, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan and other cities, as well as foreign participants from Germany, Italy, USA, France, Armenia and Belarus.

 

Guests of the Salon d'Automne will see the works of great Russian artists of the pre-revolutionary time - portraits of Emperor Alexander I (. 1802-1805 biennium) and Baron Stroganov brush Vladimir Borovikovsky, a portrait of Admiral Golenishcheva-Kutuzov, Dmitry Levitsky, "The salvation of the shipwreck" by Ivan Aivazovsky, "Eucharist" by Viktor Vasnetsov (1904-1906 gg.), paintings by Vasily Polenov "Venice Pier." and "the River Oyat," as well as works by Russian artists of the early twentieth century Symbolists - Victor Borisov-Musatov, Alexandre Benois, Léon Bakst. The works of Russian decorative and applied arts of the beginning of the XX century are presented products from Carl Faberge, Ivan Khlebnikov, Feodor Lorie.

 

At this year's Salon will be particularly well represented Italian art - from painting and sculpture of the late Renaissance and early modern to elegant jewelry abroad XIX-XX centuries. The exhibition, in particular, includes paintings by Ludovico Carracci "Madonna di Bargellini" (1588), "The Annunciation" by Giuseppe Cesari, "Luxury Hunting still life with fruit and vegetables," Frans Snyders and workshop (first half of the XVII century.), "Flower Still in ancient Greek vase with a scene of Apollo and Marsyas competition "Nicolas Bodessona (mid-XVII century.).

 

In a special exhibition of the Salon "my passion - hunting", visitors will see a sculpture of Nicholas Liberiha (1828 -. 1883), dedicated to the royal hunt, trellis, made on cardboard Russian artist Pyotr Sokolov (1821 - 1899 gg.), Plates of the famous "Hunting the service "- a gift of Catherine II to her favorite Count Grigory Orlov.
