The exhibition "Albert Marquet. The open window," which will show the works of the famous French artist-postimpressionist provided French museums and private collectors from Russia, opens today in the Pushkin Museum.
"The project of the Pushkin Museum is very different from the recent exhibition in Paris, a monographic study of the work of French artist he completed with new angles, which allow for a fresh look at Albert Marquet and its relationship with Russia", - the press service of the museum.
Particularly, in the Pushkin Museum show materials about the trip Marche in the USSR and his impressions of the country, as well as works by graduates of the Higher Art and Technical Studios (VHUTEMAS) and the Higher Art and Technical Institute (VHUTEIN) 1920, representatives of the Moscow group of "13" and the Leningrad association "Circle of artists".
Presented in the exhibition 69 works develop four themes - in addition to "brand in Russia," it is also "the Marche and Fauvism," "Paris Marche" and "traveling artist". Nearly 50 paintings of the Marche, among which the "bank of the Seine. Paris Suburbs" (1894-96 gg.) And "Naked. Kontrazhur" (1909-10 gg.), Complementing the work of his fellow Fauves. This, in particular, the "Regatta" Raoul Dufy (1907-08 gg.), "Bather" by Henri Mang (1906), "Drying Sails" André Derain (1905) and "Barges on the Seine" Maurice de Vlaminck ( 1905-1906 gg.).
